Verbena 'Vanessa' prefers regular watering to keep the soil evenly moist while establishing and during extended dry periods. Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings, as verbena performs best in well-drained soil and does not tolerate soggy conditions. Once established, it is relatively drought tolerant.
